2020 UPDATE

2020 has been quite the year so far and we have done our best to make the most of it.  So here we are…  AUGUST???  Yep.

We unexpectedly lost our Founder, Rocky Lindsley this year.  Our hearts go out to his family and we miss him dearly.

Our Greenville, SC location is coming along, I know not as fast as some of you would like, but we’re on it.  Right now, we believe the opening will be early 2021.  We love you, Greenville and can’t wait to open!

We’ve had some great press so far this year. We were in the March 2020 issue of Southern Living for “The Souths Best Cheap Eats”.  Our Macaroni and Cheese recipe was featured in the “Asheville at Home” recipe book.  Our Coconut Shrimp recipe was featured in Food & Wine Magazine.  We were also featured in a segment on Food Paradise that aired on the Cooking Channel this month.  We even had a nice mention in U.S. News and World Report.  We‘ve also been mentioned locally in the Mountain Express and the Asheville Citizen Times.  Thank you to you all.  We try to thank each and every one of you personally on social.

But as you know, it’s been a difficult time.  COVID-19 has changed us all and we aren’t the same.  We support Black Lives Matter and have joined the Southern Restaurants for Racial Justice and Green Opportunities/Go Kitchen!

Switching from a dine in restaurant to only a pick-up or delivery restaurant, has been challenging.  We have worked extra hard to make everyone happy.  Wait times have sometimes gone very long.  We have made mistakes.  And we have grown from them.  Our goal is to make every guest happy and we always strive for excellence.

We thank you in these times, for giving us some leeway, and understanding that we are continuously doing our best, and working towards a perfect Rocky’s experience for you.  Nothing makes us happier than reading your positive reviews.  You have moved us through these tough times with words of encouragement and positivity, and by giving us your business.  We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

We are still doing pick-up and delivery as options through our website.  We have now opened our patios, so you may enjoy your to-go orders there.  We look forward to seeing you in our dining rooms when that day arrives.  Until then, keep on cluckin’.
