Giving Asheville the bird since 2009
Back in 2009, Asheville locals Rich and Lauren Cundiff launched a flavor revolution on Patton Avenue in Asheville, North Carolina. By bringing authentic, fiery Nashville-style hot chicken and comforting Southern soul food to Western North Carolina, Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack was born.
As the craving for Rocky’s grew, so did the footprint. New locations sparked to life on Sweeten Creek Road in Arden, North Carolina just south of Asheville near the Asheville Regional Airport, and on Laurens Road off I-385 in Greenville, South Carolina.
Today, the Rocky’s family includes three thriving shacks. Every single one serves up the exact same scratch-made sides and legendary chicken that started it all. Whether you want it fried, grilled, rotisserie, or plant-based, we have you covered seven days a week. Drop by Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 9pm, or catch the weekend vibes on Friday and Saturday from 11am to 10pm. Plus, every location features a full bar, a dedicated kids menu, on-site parking, a phenomenal Sunday brunch, and dog-friendly patios where your pups are always welcome.
Through it all, our core mission remains completely unchanged. Every single piece of chicken is fried fresh and spiced exactly how you want it. With eight distinct heat levels ranging from zero-heat No Spice to the blistering Extra Hot, a table of eight can easily walk out with eight completely different culinary experiences.
